Hi Classes!
Great work this week. With our starting projects out of the way, we can start to get into more concrete topics next week.
No homework for any classes -- enjoy your last weekend of summer!
Preview to next week:
Period 2: We will test bridges on Tuesday and then start work on chapter 1; Books will be signed out to you on Tuesday!
Period 3: You will begin to develop a procedure to test your question from last week: At what point in a book/paper system does air resistance become more powerful than gravity and float the paper out from the under book.
You will also begin a vocab sheet for ch. 1.
Period 4: We will quickly review some topics from ch.1, complete our vocabulary sheets, and answer questions.
Wednesday or Thursday we will begin using the photogates and car/ramp set-ups to conduct tests of speed.
Period 5: We will begin Significant Figures review on Tuesday. Books will be signed out to you on Tuesday! Expect a short quiz at the end of the week.
Period 7: We will test bridges on Tuesday and then start work on chapter 1 - Significant Figures; Books will be signed out to you on Tuesday! Expect a short quiz on next Friday.

Day Two!
Great second day of classes! I appreciate your enthusiasm! This is going to be a great year.
Period 2: Tomorrow we will continue work on the bridges; we will assess timing at the end of class.
Period 3: No class tomorrow -- Have a great extra-long weekend! No homework. Keep your books at home!
Period 4: Tomorrow we will begin working with the photogates and timers; no homework. Keep your books at home!
Period 5: We will complete the bridges and conduct testing. This is a grade! I have also tried to give you feedback on the learning expectations for creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration. I will share these results with you (but it is not part of the grade).
